Mood: ![]() Woo Hoo! We passed our Health(DHEC) Inspection on Feb 2, then we passed our Fire Marshall Inspection on Feb 5. Now, we are just waiting to have our homestudy done to complete the process. We are on our way... |
| Homestudy done. |

Mood: ![]() We had our homestudy on Feb 16th and 17th. We felt like it went well. We found out that our references had not been sent anything yet so we are waiting for that to be sent out and returned for our stuff to be finalized. I'm not sure if they have to have all that for us to be approved. I would guess they do need that, just incase a reference says that we are crazy and shouldn't have children. But that won't happen, I think. At least the start of the hard part is over on our end. I guess all the waiting begins now. |
| Waiting for a placement... |

| Well, we've been approved since April and we are still waiting for a placement. i thought we would get one quickly. As time passes, I begin to doubt my ability to parent. I wonder if I will be good at it. I wonder if we will have any time together as a couple after a child comes. I wonder if a 3 year old will miss their parents and not throw tantrums all the time. All the what if's keep roaming through my head making me doubt myself. I wish a child would just come already and make me stop my what-if's. Mother's Day commercials were hard to bear this year. I shed a few secretive tears that day. I also got offended at one commecial that showed only images of mothers giving birth. They should've included other ways of parenthood. The crib we bought is still in the box in the "child's" bedroom just incase we have to take it back because they are already in a bed. I bought a hockey jersey and a little jacket for a child that is yet to come. I bought some blocks and a cute book about different colored bears. I will call the social worker next week after our trip to Charleston for vacation to make sure they know we are waiting... |
| Upped our age to 6 and under |
Date Posted: 07-04-2007 at 12:34 AM |
Mood: ![]() We recently saw a 6 yr old child on the adopt-us web site that we are interested and made and inquiry on. We also have decided to change our age limit from 0-3 to 6 and under. We are excited at the possibility of this child. She looks so sweet in the photo. I think she would be a perfect fit with us. But, it's not up to us so now we wait. Wait, wait, wait. |
