Sitting here at work, bored silly, and just found this journal option. Figured it would be a good place to just talk about whatever sit is going on around me at the time relative to fostering or adopting.

Currently, we’ve received care of our grandchildren. Their mother is my hubby’s 20 yr old daughter who just has a lot to learn about prioritizing and mothering. The little ones are a girl, Re, who is 2 ½ yrs old, and a boy, Ry, who is just 8 ½ mos old. Both are totally adorable although you might want to avoid Re if she doesn’t get her naps - lol.

We also have, at home, my two daughters from my first marriage. They are A, who will be 17 in June and has decided she wants to become a vet, and B, who will be 16 in July and wants to be a photographer. Both are really great girls who I really have no real problems with – they aren’t into the drug/drinking/sex scenes, they refuse to associate with any who are, and they don’t cause any real problems in the house. Now A, when she was younger, was a totally different kid. I can remember taking her to school in her underwear when she was in 1st grade and refusing to get ready for school. And then there were the daily phone calls from her teacher in 2nd grade that she was doing something wrong and refusing to stop (sitting on her desk, walking around class, pulling someone’s braid, etc).

We also have 3 chows, 2 cats, a snake (yuck-yuck-yuck!!!) and my iguana who is pretty good sized.

I guess that’s enough for my first entry. I’ll post more as it happens.
