| Oh to see little M and big M was the best thing for me! It had been almost two weeks. With my mom so sick they were the best thing to see. I couldn't hug them enough. I have learned this summer that life is precious. Take every moment and appreciate what you have. I was able to bake a cake for little M that met his requirements....Spiderman! Wish I could post the picture. He was quite pleased so that made me happy. He was concerned that grandma wouldn't be able to have a piece of cake but I assured him that when she was feeling better that we would make sure she had a piece of his cake. The last few weeks we were able to fly the really cool kites that grandma bought (star wars). You know in Kansas the wind never stops....lol The boys just wish that grandma was here to see them fly the kites...one becuase she bought them for them but because she loves to fly kites. It goes back to my grandfather who would spend hours creating a kite made of wood and paper(not ordinary quite a masterpiece). He would get them into the air and tie them to the fence post for the day and come back to see them still flying in the air. Mom always said it was such a thrill to still see them still flying. Well, we hope to keep a tradition to continue atleast while we are in Kansas whenenver we visit. I know I had forgotten how much fun it is to fly a kite and hope my kids continue to have fun flying their really cool Star Wars kites. I know I will. |
