1/9/09 New Day

Well, it is a new day. The kids are off at school, dh is at work and the little guy is playing his own "computer game". It's fairly quiet and the weather report states that we are going to have snow falling for the next 30 hours or so...to expect up to 8-10 inches...buckle in baby!

LOL! DH asked that I snow blow the driveway...said it was just like a lawn mower...guess I don't know how to do one of those either because it kept dying on me! Put gas in ~ check ~ push key in ~ check ~ pull handle ~ check ~ wrench shoulder ~ check ~ start engine ~ check ~ move forward ~check ~ engine dies...start over again and again and again. Finally I called him and he told me about this little lever that dealt with the throttle that I was supposed to slide one way or the other...hallaluya! (SP?) it's a miracle! now we're cooking with oil! =-} It didn't look as "pretty" as when my dh did it last but there is less snow on the driveway than before so he should be happy. LOL :-P

I asked my son to take out the trash before school as ours comes fairly early. When I came home from dropping him off at school, I thought to myself as I was coming up the stairs...how much you want to bet he didn't empty the inside recycling bin? Sure enough, there was a bag of trash and a bin brimming to the rim with recycling....when I went to put it in the receptical I noticed that there was absolutely NOTHING in it. He'd put it out to the curb EMPTY! LOL! Can't wait to get him with that when I pick him up today! (Insert evil chuckle here! Ha! Ha! Ha! ~ btw, not mad..just think it's funny or "punny" as my 3 yr old says.)

Did I ever mention that one day while watching a tv show with my daughter about someone who was bipolar that she turned to me and said in a very honest way "mommy, you have that doen't you?". She was maybe 7 or 8 at the time. I had to laugh. It still makes me laugh even today but sometimes I have to wonder...LOL! Really, I try not to write about nasty things all the time but it seems like that is when it is the easiest time to write. Then after a while I might read back what I've written and think...what am I complaining about! My kids are healthy (drive me crazy at times but healthy). My dh is doing well. (Again, drives me crazy at times but really probably no more than anyone else's.) Family (mine, his, adopted, biological) is family. No family is perfect and they all could be worse. I'm sure they think the same about me too. I just have to stop letting things get to me. Sometimes I feel like I have no control over what I'm feeling. I let things get to me more than they should and then I feel overwhelmed and alone. Then everything becomes "wrong". Other times, I am able to look back and think "what the heck just happened?" "What's wrong with me!" "Everything is not that bleak." It's not that I want to be upset, depressed, overwhelmed. I want to be happy. Although again, sometimes I think that "being happy" is subjective. Who decides what should make you happy or otherwise?

A-N-Y-W-A-Y. Still have a ton of things to do around here today and this is not getting them done.
Till next time. =-)

BTW ~ food for thought...they need to have a "BLEH" mood. Not happy, not sad, not angry, confused ect...just bleh...in otherwords just "there". Just food for thought.
