Mood: Hi all, my husband and I are both 25 and we were having trouble getting pregnant and we felt that God was telling us Foster Parenting might be something to do. We went to our first Informational Session basically to sign up for the training and we start that June 3rd I believe. They said it could be till the end of August before we get a placement but i'm really looking for some advice as we go thru this whole process, we are definitly open to adoption. Our age range for accepting children is up to age 7..we both figured that a child as they get close to 10 is almost half our age and it might be hard since we arent parents...yet. We also have an issue where my husband's family a few members (3) are a lil racist (REALLY makes me mad) Its very hard since i was not raised that way...I have a sister who is half white/half black and for their stupid remarks I either have to bite my tongue or walk out of the room in protest. So it's going to be a little hard i imagine but all the same i am still very excited.![]() |
