| Tia is a complainer. She hates everything no matter what. For example, when we drive to school she is upset because she wanted to walk. When we walk to school she is downright mad because she wanted a ride. Everything is BORING! I am so bored with the word BORING, I could barf. If she's not walking around with her arms crossed, stomping and pouting, she must be asleep, because I haven't seen much of that lately. On one hand, I feel badly for her. I think she is just plain mad and sad and doesn't know why or where to put it, so assigns her negative moods to everything and anything. I want to help her with that problem, but I have no idea how to do that. On the other hand, I wonder if she is just taking pleasure in getting on my nerves and this is her new thing. This morning she attempted to complain or argue about absolutely everything from the moment we got up. Finally, I told her if she had complaints she'd have to file them formally in writing, because I was tired of hearing them. Of course then she complained she didn't know how to write letters anymore -- she forgot. I told her it sounds like the practice will be good for her then or she better learn to fake it till she makes it. She said she would fake it and at least acted happy for the rest of the morning. I have to question whether this is the right thing to do for her, because if she has something to say she should be comfortable enough to say it. Faking feelings isn't so healthy either. However, I am tired of two years of whining about what's for dinner, what she's wearing, her hair, where we are going and how we are getting there. Tell me something real or stop b**ching already! I am considering making her look-up and write the definition for boring, learning it in another language or learning synonyms for it, because really the word is getting grossly misused and overused. |
