| School for my son starts really soon. He hasn't been reading this summer or doing any studying. I hope he doesn't have a hard time in school, he's never been a great student. School has always been hard for him. I don't know why, he seems so bright. He's happy and busy all the time. Gosh, I wish I felt like tutoring him, I know it would help when school does start up. But I have to get our house organized first. Maybe I'll start walking at night again, it seems as if when I did exercise I had more energy. Maybe it will cool off at nights soon and I can start. S has been spending a lot of time here. Our whole family has fallen in love. She walks in every weekend and if feels like she's always been here. The case worker is telling us maybe a month before she moves in for good. Well, that's OK because we can get into the routine of school so when she moves in I will have it down pat. School started, my ds loves his teachers. They are really sweet. The school hours are so great. Doesn't start till 9:00 so we can sleep in. One thing I can't get use to is packing lunch every day. Last year we went out to lunch every day this year before school I have to pack his lunch. Doesn't seem like much but I can't seem to get it together half the days so I end up running to Subway after I drop him off and running back to his school. We live in the country so having to run into town to get lunch for him is a pain. Boy I wish I was still that organized person I use to be last year. I was able to pull things out of my hat this time last year. Hummm I wonder what's up? I don't think I'll be team Mom this year for my ds hockey team. It doesn't seem worth the extra trouble. Well, S's foster Mom and I have worked out that I'm going to pick her up after school on Fri.'s and drop her off on Sun. evenings. She lives 2 hours from us but it's well worth it to be able to spend every weekend with her. And the cw says it's about a month for her to move in so that's only 4 times. I'll leave our house at 12:30 pick her up at 2:30 and rush back to ds school and he'll only have to wait till 4:30 so he can sign up for foot ball practice on Fri.s. We'll be home by 5 and our weekend starts. We'll go to ds hockey games on Sat. and we'll be home to enjoy our Sundays. I'll leave for fm's house at 3 be there by 5 on Sun. nights and I'll be home by 7. Ds has hockey practice Tue. and Thurs. so our schedule works out pretty well. Ds teachers assigns homework on Mon. due back the following Mon. I think this will work out great. I'm not working so I have time to handle this. Wish I shopped better so I didn't have to run to Subway so much. Wow without teaching this year I can take a nap quite often while ds is at school. Cool, I've never really had time for naps. Hmm maybe I should be riding instead of napping. But then I don't think I would have enough energy for all the running around we do, better nap. Darn this is 2 weeks in a row I haven't made ds son turn in his homework on time. It just seems as if he gets so much more homework this year. Cw says maybe a few more weeks till S moves in with us, so I'll have to keep up the drive to pick her up each week. I sure could use that time to help ds get his homework done. We better sit down and work out a schedule so he's not late again. He's got a big paper due this week. I'll do the research for him because he can be really slow getting it done. But next time he'll have to do it all on his own. It's not much use me doing his work for him. He won't learn much that way. But we really don't have time for him to do it. Oh well. Subway again today. That darn dog still doesn't get it. Halloween in 2 weeks. I guess we don't have time for our annual party this year. It's too bad but I've got to set priorities. I've got to much to do to plan a party this year. Funny last year I was working and was the team hockey Mom and I was able to plan our party. Oh well, I guess I'm kinda busy with S. and ds' homework. Cw still hasn't got the paper work done for S to move in. Wish they could do more. I don't think I've ridden since school started. Maybe I should try and ride next week. Can't fit any of my new jeans, wow I REALLY have to think about a diet. |
