| Interesting controversial thread ... I find myself wanting to throw my two cents in just to keep the pot stirred ... but I don't really have anything to offer other than my opinion, and there's already plenty of those! Something that jumped out at me ... a PAP posted about how they have no control once they file papers, etc, just wait for a call. Funny, as a bmom, I sure didn't feel in control of the situation, other than it being by my choice! So who WAS in control? Maybe it's because it was closed, so the AGENCY was in control. I know C & P weren't. Now that lots of adoptions are open or semi, I guess it does put more control into the hands of the bmom/parents. Somehow, though, I bet they don't feel that way. |
